Tamara Al-Mashouk is a visual artist who incorporates strategies of hosting, art making and live performance across a range of multi-disciplinary projects. Through large-scale installations, performance and video, her work explores:

where memory is stored
the body as container
architecture as body

and reflects on:

the movement of people,
collective histories,
and place

She most often works in bodies, in bodies of work.

These days, she can’t stop thinking about:

  • going home, but

  • her Saudi Palestinian ancestry x life giving practices
her Palestinian Saudi ancestry x resistance practices
her Palestinian Saudi ancestry x grieving practices

  • circular economies

  • how to carve sites of solace within embodied experiences of hyper-politicisation.
